Uniting Hundreds to Raise Funds for Hereditary Cancer Patients
Organized by the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry, Pink Yoga will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Salisbury Garden, marking the first large-scale outdoor yoga event in the history of the Avenue of Stars. Gathering over 200 participants, this event uses the power of yoga to support hereditary cancer patients and their families. This meaningful event features a one-day outdoor yoga session as its opening ceremony, followed by a week-long exhibition and charity sale, aimed at raising public awareness of hereditary breast cancer and other hereditary cancers.
Pink Yoga with a Stunning 180° Victoria Harbour View
Set against the breathtaking skyline of Victoria Harbour and the bustling urban backdrop, participants will practice yoga to connect mind, body, and soul, while contributing to a meaningful cause for hereditary breast cancer patients. Pink Yoga is not just a yoga practice; it is designed to enhance public awareness of hereditary breast cancer and provide practical support to patients and their families.
Event Highlights: Outdoor Yoga and the “BReast Cancer Awareness” Exhibition
Pink Yoga will begin with a day of outdoor yoga sessions, featuring two celebrity guests – Elva Ni and Alex Lam – who will lead attendees in stretching and finding inner peace through yoga. 3 sessions will be available to participants of different skill levels:

Advancing Prevention and Support for Hereditary Breast Cancer
Scientific studies have shown that yoga improves the quality of life and psychological health of breast cancer patients and survivors. Pink Yoga aims to provide both physical and emotional support to hereditary breast, ovarian, and prostate cancers patients. Organized by the Registry, the event proceeds will fund genetic testing, screenings, and related support services for hereditary breast cancer patients and other hereditary cancers patients.
About Us
Established in 2007, The Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry (“THE REGISTRY”) is dedicated to helping the high-risk families who have hereditary risk of breast, ovarian and prostate cancer due to BRCA gene mutations. We also aim to advance and standardize clinical care by formulating preventative measures through data collection, research, public education, counseling and supportive care services in reducing the incidence of hereditary cancers in Chinese population. Currently, THE REGISTRY has the largest database and biobank of hereditary breast cancers specimens in Chinese which would facilitate better understanding of the disease locally and globally.
We have helped over 6,800 individuals (including more than 5,280 index patients) and over 1,400mutation carriers have been identified. Some of them have been referred for breast surveillance or other support at THE REGISTRY designated high-risk breast clinic for better disease management.
