On 25th November 2013, last Saturday afternoon, The 3rd “Race with Pink Heels”, one of the most fun and unique events in town, was held in Stanley Hong Kong. Rack With Pink Heels kicked off at 2pm by Chairman Dr. Ava Kwong, together with pop star Ms Charlene Choi, TLC Ambassador Mr Enrico Kwong and other officiating guests at Stanley Plaza Amphitheatre. Dr. Kwong firstly addressed the participants, she introduced the newly designed triple-colour ribbon together with the BOP campaign for promoting the awareness of Hereditary Breast, Ovarian and Prostate Cancers during the period from September to November. She stated that The Registry will contiune to hold fun and unique fundraising events and donation schemes in the future. 150 participants joined the race in categories of “Men Individual”, “Family Team” “Women Individual”, “Corporate Team” and “Dog & Buddy Team” respectively. Everyone enjoyed the race and was dressed up in pink to express the awareness and support. The event raised around HK$280,000 gross for reducing the burden of event expenditures. Through the race, exhibition panels and charity booths set up, It also increased public awareness towards hereditary cancers.
