The annual Pink Ball 'Bloom' organized by the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry was held successfully at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong on the 28th October 2017.
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Registry, the Ball kicked start with an officiation by Professor Sophia Chan who gave a speech of support to our service in helping patients with hereditary cancers and their families. The highlight of the Ball was the Latin dance performed by Pink Ball Angel Mrs. Karen Chuang. The dazzling and elegant dance was applauded by guests with embraces and bouquets. After the charity dance performance, our supporters Mrs. Grace Chow, Dr. Joseph Chan & Dr. Patrick Wang performed a special All Star dance to celebrate the 10th Anniversary. Other guests also joined the dance and created an energetic atmosphere in the ballroom. At this unforgettable moment, Chairman Dr. Ava Kwong together with Pink Ball Angels Mrs. Christine Chan and Mrs. Karen Chuang were present on the dance floor to officiate the 10th Anniversary cake-cutting ceremony. Thanks to all supporters of the Gala, The Pink Ball raised around $7million which will be used in financing the underserved high risk families to access free genetic testing, counselling services, and preventative measures, and to support clinical research to improve the testing and data collection for hereditary cancers in the Chinese community.
