The sweetest charitable event in town Pink Desserts is coming again this year with new surprises! From September to November, customers can order Pink Desserts or designated products at participating merchants during the event period, where full of or part of the sale proceeds will go to the Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry (“The Registry”) for charitable work to finance the underserved high-risk families to access free genetic testing, counseling services and preventative measures. Funds raised will also help us support clinical research to reduce the incidence of hereditary cancers in the Chinese community.
2017 marks the 10th Anniversary of The Registry. To let the public understand more about the service of the Registry, Pink Desserts for the first time works with Title Sponsor MEKO and renowned local cartoon character Din-Dong to create a MEKO 100% Mangosteen Grape Juice with Pink Desserts version Din-Dong neck tag.
Drink which will be sold in supermarket and convenient stores. Din-Dong is also appointed as the Pink Desserts 2017 Ambassador, bringing a fresh image for the event. In addition to Pink Desserts 2017 Ambassador Din-Dong, Miss Shiga Lin, a local singer with a sweet voice will also be present at the Kick-Off Ceremony to officiate the event along with the Registry Chairman Dr. Ava Kwong and TLC Ambassador Mr. Enrico Kwong.
This year, we continued with the dessert polling session where guests and friends from the media were invited to taste the desserts specially prepared by our 12 F&B participants and give out ‘Likes’ to 2 of your favorite desserts. While all desserts won the hearts of their fans ‘The Royal Garden Fine Foods’ received the most ‘Likes’ at the end of the session was presented with the ‘My favorite Pink Dessert at Kick-Off Ceremony’ award.
With the support from Tiger Corporation HK Ltd. and Title Sponsor MEKO 100% Mangosteen Grape Juice Drink, consumers can present the neck tag and label on the drink to enjoy a HKD 50 reduction on selected products of Tiger Corporation HK Ltd. purchased at promotion counters Citistore and Sogo.
